Society for Text and Discourse - Qualitative Methods
I am collaborating with colleagues on several presentations for the 29th Annual Meeting for the Society of Text & Discourse held in New York City from July 9th-11th.
My first presentation is a poster I created with fellow colleagues from Southern Methodist University titled Using Qualitative Methods to Analyze the Function of Speeches and Social Media in Communicating Education Policy. In this poster we have outlined the qualitative methods our team of researchers used to analyze the educational priorities of the federal government as presented through speeches from Secretary of Education, Betsy DeVos.
In this post you can find a copy of our poster along with supplemental tables, references, and an abstract of the accompanying manuscript that is in review.
Presented by Carlin Conner, Kristi Baker, and Jennifer Stewart on July 10th, 2019.
