These are some resources that special education teachers can use in their classrooms! I love to share practical resources with teachers that are supported with research to be effective for their students. Browse the links below for more information or contact me with any questions about how to choose the most effective resources for your students.
Friends on the Block is a reading curriculum developed specifically for struggling readers and students with intellectual disabilities. My advisor, Dr. Jill Allor, developed this program with a team of researchers at SMU. I personally used this resource in my classroom and have helped coach other special education teachers in their instruction of this program. But don’t just take my word for it, browse their website for more information about the program and the research we have published.
